Backgammon songs and music

Did you know there was a backgammon song, look through the web and you'll come across it. How the tune goes, I have no idea, but it just goes to show the ingenuity and creativity of the composer who penned such an interesting rendition of what has to be a very difficult game to put music too?

My compliments to Mr. Phil Simborg on this achievement, which got me thinking what sort of music you could listen to (if you wished) while you played backgammon.

Some titles that spring to mind are Black is Black – Move Over, - Take my breath away, A Whiter shade of Pale, Games people play, The heat is on, Play the game tonight, to name just a few.

Maybe you know a few others let us know if you do.

• Watching the dice come up cocked /
  very much like my first marriage.

• Your disgustingly slow play will not disturb my inner tranquility /
  I recite this mantra as I plan his dismemberment

  watching the faces of my former friends.

  Wishing I could flip a coin so no one could see.

  Let me show you what hot coffee feels like.

• I gently offer you the cube with the utmost respect /
  Hoping you will choke on it and die

• Tell me again how the dice on line are fair /
  tell me again where Santa Claus lives.

  a feeling not unlike a successful visit to the bathroom.

• Watching him gammon me with that smirk on his face /
  Wishing I had a gun.
