Backgammon Lite
In the world of advertising one of the tricks of selling
products is to make a description that is usually an enhancement of an
existing one. Take New Improved, its always struck me that is a
statement that the first product wasn't any good in the first place as
they have had to go away to improve it.
Only, the ad men will tell you that New Improved means, that nothing
has really changed, the product was really very good in the first
place, only this time another couple of additional ingredients have
been added to enrich the product, even further. That, said we still
buy into it.
Another one of these Ad Ons, is the word lite, meaning lower in
quantity of something included, it could be less sugar or fat or
cholesterol or carbo- hydrates, or salt or anything else that is put
in to make it fat and is now taken out to make it lite.
Lite is a good descriptive word too, it reinforces the idea that
because something is lite, it is likely to be less expensive though
not always.
It is also likely to be less complicated, like backgammon lite, a new
computer program for backgammon players who can play online for fun or
for money. Backgammon lite appears to have no major differences
between any other online backgammon site and uses the same software
and technical aspects as other similar sites.
The only difference is it has lite in its name, whether the player
will notice the difference that's debatable, but even if they don't
backgammon lite is the first of its kind, just one thing when are they
bringing out the new improved version. I can't wait!
